The Green Training Co was established through Synergetics Environmental Engineering. Technical engineering solutions were only taking clients so far in their quest for improved environmental performance. Analysis revealed that some of the largest gains could be made through changes in behaviour and an educated work force. Brian Butterworth, one of Australia's leading change management experts, highlighted the need for information based training as the first step to an environmental behavioural change program. The decision to roll out training online was a natural one. Not only could training easily and simply be rolled out to an entire work force spread out all over the world, the medium enabled rich content and interactivity ensured self paced learning for every participant rather than focusing on the most vocal or advanced of the group. Online training also ensured the accessibility of everyone to training, not only those involved with large group organisational training funded by employers. The Green Training Co is committed to keeping this content up to date and tailors all products to suit organisational requirements. Understanding the environment and climate change, the legislation and the potential impacts into the future is something everyone should have access to and be informed of. This is why we update and maintain individual versions of the course for both householders and office workers and spend time developing training for the One Laptop per Child program. |
